Summary:
Dr. Naji is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Glasgow (FRCS). He was educated and undertook his medical and surgical training in Iraq before relocating to Sweden.
He is Swedish Board Certified in Pediatric Surgery (2007) and Certified by the European Board of Pediatric Surgery in Amsterdam (2009).
Prior to joining Parkview Hospital, Dr. Naji worked as a Consultant Pediatric Surgeon at the American Hospital, Dubai, United Arab Emirates (2013-2018). Before that he was a Consultant at the Pediatric Surgery Department at Astrid Lindgren Children’s Hospital at Karolinska University in Stockholm, Sweden (2010-2013).
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Naji has researched, presented and published different topics in his specialty. This includes presentations in many international conferences and more than 20 publications in different international medical journals.
He is a member of the European Paediatric Surgeons' Association (EUPSA); International Pediatric Endosurgery Group (IPEG); Swedish Pediatric Surgeons' Association; and the Swedish Medical Association.
As a Swedish national, Dr. Naji is fluent in English, Arabic and Swedish.
In addition to general pediatric surgery, Dr. Naji also has significant experience with neonatal surgery and laparoscopic pediatric surgery.
